Once Ordained, National Dues to keep your Ordination current are $75 a year, to be paid (postmarked) before the last day of August,
beginning the first August after your ordination.

Why Would Someone Involved In The Body, Mind And Soul Movement Want To Be An Ordained Minister?
Most of us do what we do because we want to help people and be of service to folks that can benefit from the services we offer. In these troubled times we can benefit from the Federal protection of the separation of church and state, which is guaranteed to us, in the U.S. Constitution, Establishment Clause. Being a legitimately ordained minister gives one the ability to offer ones practice without fear of governmental interference, regulation, and supervision. It helps removes the stigmas about offering alternative healing, counseling, personal training, and coaching modalities. It opens the door to being of service as a Chaplain, Pastor, Counselor and Pastoral Caregiver. It empowers one to share one’s human/spiritual service, counseling, workshop, seminar, class, healing art, etc. as part of one’s religious mission and practice. It additionally allows one to perform legal weddings, funerals, memorials and other rites and ceremonies.
There is national push to intensify chaplain services, especially in hospitals, hospice and nursing homes. The national accreditation agencies for these groups, are pushing them to be balanced in their body-mind-spirit services. Major businesses and corporations are now hiring Chaplains to help attend to the spiritual needs of their workers, and to help reduce stress and illness. There is going to be an ever increasing opportunity for properly trained ministers. This is just the beginning of the Body-Mind-Spirit movement
It is important to be ordained by an organization that can answer Yes! the following:
- Do you have Full Federal and State registration and recognition as a Ministerial Training and Ordination program? Are you a non-profit organization? What name do I look under to find your organization by going
to www.guidestar.com, the official listing of all non-profit organizations?
- Do you offer automatic access to non-profit organization status for my endeavors? (It is also important to affiliate with a program that can also offer you, simple access to a IRS 501(c)(3) Non-Profit status without additional expense, which can often cost thousands of dollars and take a long time, if one is starting from the beginning. This will allow you to set up your establishment with all the rights and privileges afforded to other religious institutions.)
- Can you tell me the significant tax advantages that are only made available to members of the clergy? (Knowing this can save you up to 50% of your taxes.)
- Is there counsel and advice for ministers when they have questions, concerns, requests for assistance in making business decisions?
- Do you have detailed books available to assist a minister in establishing and maintaining their spiritual practice? Do you have books of services of weddings, funerals, etc. for all religions? (These are a great source of income for ordained ministers.) Do you have tax guides for ministers? (This is very important because you want to do it right!)
- Is your organization national in scope, and is it inter-faith and non-denominational, so one can be trained to attend to the spiritual needs of clients of all faiths and backgrounds? (This is becoming increasingly important to chaplaincy programs.)
- Is the program one that will assist the student minister to have a deeper personal understanding and experience of one’s own spirituality? (We each can grow more spiritually, leading to a happier, more fulfilling and productive lives.)
Most mail order and inter-net ordinations cannot guarantee or even offer the same protections and benefits that are listed above. It is important to affiliate with a reputable organization that has a proven track record. Being a fully ordained minister is like having a driver’s license, you take your training, you pass the test, you become empowered, and it enables you to travel to places you could not go otherwise.
